Wonderous Stories Film Festival is set to bring independent cinema and international artists to West London, 23rd - 25th July 2021.
WSFF is partnering with Watermans Arts Centre, Brentford’s local family hub and social enterprise with beautiful riverside views. Outside the restrictions of mainstream marketability, the Wonderous Stories that we spotlight are those that surprise and subvert...
Our programme will span Feature, Documentary, and Short Films -- experienced as well as first-time creatives -- all with a commitment to pushing the boundaries of the art-form. On top of our broader categories, WSFF’s specific awards under the themes of Voices of China, & Eastern European Cinema also demonstrates the scope of our commitment to platforming global perspectives and diverse voices.
On top of screening original cinema, WSFF is also committed to bridging the gap between experienced and amateur cinephiles. Local and specialist-led workshops and Q&As are also an equally integral aspect of our programme to bring practical learning to the local community in West London.
After three successful years running WSFF in Berlin, we are continuing to seek out brave filmmakers and with unexpected approaches to visual storytelling. Through actively cultivating a community interested in challenging themselves through cinema, we envisage WSFF’s future crafting a legacy and niche environment for global filmmakers.
There's still time to submit your Short or Feature Films to our selection committee -- so make sure to get your work to us by May 31st to reach the deadline. WSFF is welcoming to applicants of all races, genders, sexualities, and financial backgrounds, so please don't hesitate to get in touch with us for any additional support. We can't wait to see your work!
